Kondansha’s Morning 2 Manga Magazine to Go Monthly

This year’s 18th issue (released on April 3) of Kodansha’s Morning manga magazine announced that its Morning 2 spinoff magazine will start publishing monthly on April 30. The magazine had published eight issues on an irregular, but roughly bimonthly, schedule since September of 2006. In October, the magazine published Bikkuri and Rem’s Kage no Matsuri (pictured at right), the winner of the 1st Morning International Manga Competition. The rules of the second and third competitions have stated that the final winners will also be published in Morning or Morning 2 magazine.
